Adourned Media exists to bring editorial rigor, cultural fluency, and depth to faith-informed fashion.
Danielle Jones - Founder & Editor-in-Chief M.A. Fashion Journalism (2026) Academy of Art University, San Francisco Founder, Urban Fetish Magazine (2012)About Adourned Media
Adourned Media was founded to address a persistent blind spot in fashion journalism: the sustained absence of serious editorial coverage for women who practice their faith and engage deeply with fashion.
Despite representing a global market valued at more than $400 billion, modest and faith-informed fashion has largely been treated as a trend, a niche, or an afterthought—rather than as a permanent, sophisticated segment of the fashion industry. Coverage has often been reductive, inconsistent, or framed through novelty, failing to reflect the intelligence, discernment, and purchasing power of this audience.
Adourned Media exists to correct that imbalance.
Returning to graduate study in fashion journalism clarified the scale of the issue. What once appeared to be a narrowly defined gap revealed itself as a global reality: nearly one billion women across Christian, Muslim, and Jewish traditions choose to dress with intention, coverage, and conviction. These women are fashion-literate, design-conscious, and culturally fluent—yet consistently underserved by media that either misunderstands their values or does not take them seriously.
This platform is built on the belief that faith and fashion are not contradictory. Coverage, creativity, and conviction can—and do—coexist.
Adourned Media operates as an editorial platform across multiple formats. Divine Disruption is our podcast, featuring long-form conversations that examine fashion through the lens of faith, culture, and modern power structures. The Book of Fashion presents curated edits and industry analysis, while The Modest Edit offers critical evaluation of what is actually worth buying across price points—without influencer bias or trend-chasing.
This is not aspirational lifestyle content. It is fashion journalism grounded in editorial rigor, cultural fluency, and depth.
Women of faith who engage with fashion unapologetically deserve media that reflects their intelligence, discernment, and influence. Adourned Media exists to serve that audience thoughtfully, seriously, and without compromise.
This is fashion journalism built for modern conviction.
